Viridian Life: More Than A Home, A Community

Viridian Life: More Than A Home, A Community

Room to Create

When you are buying a home in Viridian, you are getting so much more than just four walls. Central to our development plan is focusing on ways to create community in a neighborhood, both through our lifestyle program and our amenities development. The Viridian Life is a definitive way of life enjoyed only in our unique master-planned community. Every aspect of Viridian has been designed to deliver a comfortable, engaging, and sustainable way of life for all ages. Here are just a few ways we have worked into our master plan and collaborated with the Viridian Residents Association (VRA) to create a sense of community at Viridian.

How We Build A Sense of Community at Viridian in Our Lifestyle Program:

  1. Community Events – An on-site lifestyle team plans a calendar of events with an array of resident-only events, festivals, and other gatherings for both little ones and adults. Events in past years have included: Photos with Santa, 21+ Trivia Night, Art-inspired Classes, Farm to Table Feast, Drive-in movies, Tuesday Brewsday, and more! And 2020 didn’t stop the events, just reimagined them, with Santa with drive-thru cocoa, Bees of the World Bee Day community drive-thru, Sidewalk Art days, Zoom art classes, and more.
  2. Community Clubs – Social clubs such as ViREADians Book Club, Bridge Club, Bunco Club, Cycling Club, Car Club & resident-led community engagement events such as food drives, coat drives, and Photos for a Cause are all part of the ways that residents are encouraged to join together with neighbors to share hobbies and passions. For residents in Elements, our 55+ community, clubs include Bridge, First Fridays, Helping Hands, Ladies Lunch Bunch, Chess, Movies, Pickleball, Gardening, Writers, and more. Community involvement is a very important aspect of Viridian’s community planning, and the VRA supports residents in planning a variety of clubs for everyone.
  3. ViridianLife App – Residents are able to discover valuable information about the community, parks, amenities, clubs, and events at the touch of their fingers! The app allows them to book event reservations, add them to their calendar and stay in the know about upcoming happenings as well as trails and park locations.
  4. Facebook Page & Email Notifications – The VRA also maintains a Facebook Page and an email list of residents to help keep residents connected and in the know with all of the latest exciting announcements and news. Visit our VRA Facebook Page or one for our 55+ community, Elements at Viridian.
  5. Our Developer Focuses on Community as Part of the Master Plan - Johnson Development’s communities foster an active, family-oriented lifestyle while preserving the natural beauty of the local landscape and offer top-rated schools and outstanding recreational programs for every age and lifestyle.
