Imagine stepping out your front door and knowing you’re always a quick walk from a beautiful park or green space. Picture the ease of taking your dog out to play, grabbing some fresh air during a work break, or spending the afternoon outdoors making memories with your family. At Viridian, we have designed our community to make this lifestyle not only a reality but a priority!
We ensure every home is a short walk from one of our more than 18 (and growing!) parks because we believe in the benefits of green space. We encourage our residents to get outside to appreciate the nature around them, socialize with neighbors, and simply play — regardless of age.
Whether child, adult, or furry friend, Viridian has a park designed for every member of the family! Let’s take a look at a few ways to embrace play in our community’s parks:
- Fossil Park: Take your little ones to dig for “bones” at this dinosaur-themed playground and watch their imaginations ignite.
- Inspiration Park: Here you can gather with friends and family for a day filled with activities. Play Bocce Ball, listen to tunes in the gazebo, relax watching Koi fish in the pond or meet us here from some of our community events!
- Arrowhead Dog Park: The perfect place for four-legged family members, and their owners, to socialize.
- Kite Hill: Head to the hill for a wide-open green space that is perfect for kite-flying, picnics, watching sunsets and so much more!
- Overlook Park: Enjoy the beautiful sunshine at Lake Viridian on this park’s large event lawn, complete with a covered pavilion available for residents to use for gatherings like graduation and birthday parties.
- Clouded Point Park: Designed with the Texas heat in mind, this playground offers an expansive shade structure to keep kids cool while they swing, slide, or monkey around.

In addition to these parks — and the many more across our community — we’re excited to announce our newest outdoor space that will be coming soon, Esplanade Park! Esplanade Park was created to be an inclusive park where residents of all ages can come together and play. Located on the west side of The Island, this will be a newly added beautiful sitting area in addition to the Esplanade Edge. We look forward to welcoming guests here late Spring.
Parks and green spaces aren’t the only way Viridian residents get outside. Lake Viridian also boasts a large lakeside beach for those days when you just want to sink your toes in the sand! Sunbathing, beach volleyball, and socializing can be found here on sunny days throughout the year.
