Viridian is blowing the candles out on five years of home sales with a birthday celebration 4-7 p.m. Saturday, April 1.
Live music by the Shane Bell Band will fill the community’s new Tribute Park, 1327 Viridian Park Lane, while guests enjoy a petting zoo, bounce houses, face painters and other family-friendly activities. The first 150 attendees will receive an additional gift in the form of tethered hot air balloon rides. The event is free and picnic baskets and blankets are encouraged. The event had been previously planned for March, but was rescheduled due to inclement weather.
The community’s newest section, Savanna Park, opened in February featuring 362 homesites. Last year, 138 homesites opened in Viridian’s new Trinity Park neighborhood. The expansion also includes four new parks and a new model home park where builders will showcase more than a dozen new model homes.
In addition to the birthday celebration, the public can see Viridian’s model homes during weekend themed tours throughout April including a light brunch, paella cooking series and sangria and tapas stroll April 8; brunch, Southern delicacies cooking classes and craft beers April 15; brunch, a sushi-making class and wine and chocolate duos April 22; and brunch, a grilling how-to class and coffee and craft beers brewing event April 29.
The whirlwind of events is part of the DFW Showcase Tour of Homes happening weekends in April. The tour, sponsored by Viridian developer, Johnson Development Corp., encourages the public to visit hundreds of homes, including 20 models in two Dallas-Fort Worth communities.
